• Rising militarism in Japan:
• Japan was increasing its number of armies

• The unjust (अन्यायपूर्ण) treaty of Versailles of 1919:
• Germany was badly suffered by this treaty.
• Germany was not happy as it had to compensate physically and economically.
• Germany was not permitted to increase its armies.

• France's behaviour with Germany:
• Germany had lost its prestige in front of France.
• France used to show vengeful (बदला लिए जस्तो) behaviour to Germany.
• Hitler came to power in 1933 to take revenge of this.

• Demands of imperialism:
• New imperialists (Japan and Germany) were growing up.
• Old imperialists (UK and France) were not ready to leave their colonies. 

• Rise of dictatorship in Germany, Japan and Italy:
• Germany - Hitlar
• Italy - Musolini
• Japan - Armies

• Failure of League of Nations:
• Manchuria - Initially was land of China, But Japan annexed it in 1931 and League of Nations could not do anything.
• Ethiopia - Italy annexed Ethiopia, But League of Nations just acted like audience and did not take any action.
• Rhineland - Germany annexed this land and League of Nations was not able to show its power against this activity.

• Irrational boundaries drawn after WWI:
• People belonging to same culture, ethnic groups and society were divided into two parts by new boundary.
• Germans were divided into Poland and Czechoslovakia.
